​It is fair to say that Christmas in Spain begins when the street lights come up and everyone starts to get into the spirit of Christmas. 

​More than 30 years ago, the founders of Rabitos Royale, Senador and Felipa Valero, were living in Barcelona but yearning to return to their home town Almoharín in Extremadura, Spain.

​When Iva and I started viewing fincas, we were shown Finca Flores Amarillas during our first viewing. It was the last one we saw that day, and it was love at first sight. Everywhere we looked, countryside. No villages, no towns in sight, and yet we were only a mile away from the nearest one.

Our determination to provide the best service we possibly can for our guests has always inspired us to continuously improve the house and the finca.  The investment in time and effort (and money!) has been huge, but we know we're on the right track.  Especially as now it's official.

There are plenty of reasons for visiting Extremadura.  You might be a history buff or a foodie and certainly you will be well catered for in this part of Spain.  You may simply be in transit to Portugal or the beaches of south west Spain. 

​However, given that Extremadura offers some of the best walking and bird-watching possibilities in Europe, we highly recommend that you take some time to explore on foot the beautiful nature and discover a unique flora and fauna.
